Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend and holiday rotations are based on operational need. The ideal candidate will help provide high-quality patient-centered care in a professional environment. This role values collaboration, respect, and diversity. You will be part of a team of remarkable nurses caring for general and select IMC patients with various medical and surgical diagnoses. The position is based in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit. You will work in a collaborative environment with state-of-the-art technology and evidence-based practice. Participation in quality improvement initiatives and leading practice changes is expected. You will collaborate in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care. The unit typically handles a range of patient diagnoses, including COPD, heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, and various surgical cases. Special equipment training may be required. Travelers may be required to float as needed. Minimum requirements include two years of recent acute care experience in the specialty. Candidates must pass a telemetry exam with strict criteria. If you do not meet the passing criteria on your first two attempts, you must complete a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
