Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma
Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately
Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility
Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry
Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Patient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations
Ability to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc.
Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail
Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians
This position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality
Must be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy
Must have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addressed the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs to the patient population served within the department
Bachelor's [Preferred]
Work Experience:

~1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program

Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT))[Required]
Medical Radiologic Technologist License with Texas Medical Board (MRT) - [Required]
