Database Administrator

This is a full-time, on-site position. Period of Performance: 1 Base Year + 4 Option Years
Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, certifications, security clearance, and contract funding. This position is contingent upon contract award.
On-site in Northern Virginia

Designs and develop database schemas and objects by interpreting data models, creating logical/physical structures using standard diagramming techniques, and implementing/troubleshooting database code and changes.
Supports operation of complex relational databases across Linux and Windows environments.
Applies database security requirements and contributes to documented backup and recovery procedures.
Analyzes complex data and performance issues using logic, pattern recognition, and cost/benefit tradeoffs to deliver effective solutions.
Collaborates with stakeholders to meet service quality standards and customer needs.
Entry Level: 0-2 years of specialized experience
Journeyman: 2-4 years of specialized experience
Full Performance: 4-6 years of specialized experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline.
Relevant certifications in programming and development, cloud and infrastructure, architecture and design, or other related networking, cybersecurity, or technology disciplines.
Security Clearance
~ Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without accommodation.
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer.
Frequently operate standard office equipment, including computers and telephones.
Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, video conference, and email.
Occasionally move about the office and lift up to 20 pounds.
Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
