Regular/Temporary: 19.17 - $21.34/hourly, DOE

Monday - Friday, 5am - 1:30pm; some evenings and weekends may be required

Summer Hours: Monday - Thursday, 4am-2:30pm

Qualifying Employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (potential loan forgiveness for federal Direct Loans after meeting repayment requirements and working full-time for an eligible employer)

The Groundskeeper performs a full range of grounds maintenance and gardening duties; assists in various related construction and landscaping projects; 30%- Mows lawns, trims, prunes trees, fertilizes, maintains irrigation systems, waters, sweeps walkways and building entry ways

25%- Performs herbicide and pesticide applications, digs trenches, cultivates, plants and transplants, spreads mulch, rakes leaves/debris

20%- Operates various grounds equipment such as tractors, mowers, edger's, trimmers, spreaders, aerators, top dressers, etc.

25%- Moves equipment and outdoor fixtures; operates parking lot sweepers and dump truck; Experience working grounds maintenance in a college or large property(20 acres or more)

Commercial applicator license for applying pesticides in non-agricultural settings

Experience using heavy equipment such as tractors and mowers

Experience working on gardening beds and/or planting trees

One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years

Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions

May be required to travel to other campus locations
