Description

Amerhart is hiring for a 2nd Shift Material Handler at the Edwardsville, IL facility. Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material in a safe and efficient manner.

Shift Hours: 4:00 pm – midnight (CST)

Hourly Pay: $22.00 + $1.00 shift differential

Position Summary

Perform all duties related to shipping, receiving, and stocking warehouse material. Assist teammates as needed, maintain safety standards, and convey respect and teamwork.

Essential Functions

Unload trucks and railroad cars; replenish products in designated locations.

Pick orders using forklift until filled.

Report shortages, damages, or other issues.

Coordinate with sales team for order changes.

Use handheld scanner for receiving, picking, loading, and cycle counting in WMS.

Collaborate with WMS Coordinator for questions and updates.

Band, wrap, and prepare materials for safe shipping.

Arrange orders on trucks following weight‑distribution practices.

Follow safety procedures and policies during all duties.

Fill orders for incoming customers.

Perform routine maintenance: cleaning warehouses/yard.

Inspect forklift daily per OSHA regulations.

Cross‑train and back‑up other warehouse staff.

Performance of Miscellaneous Functions

Personal attributes: strong initiative, self‑starter, continuous‑improvement mindset.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships in a cross‑functional team.

Knowledge of organization and prioritization techniques.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.

1–2 years of warehouse experience, including forklift operation.

Clean, neat appearance.

Teamwork ability.
