This outpatient physical therapist role is based in the Midvale area of Tucson, Arizona, a vibrant desert city known for its sunny climate, mountain views, and rich cultural heritage. The clinic is a modern outpatient facility focused on evidence-based, patient-centered physical therapy. You will join a collaborative team of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff dedicated to high-quality care and professional growth. The environment emphasizes efficiency, supportive teamwork, and a strong clinical culture, with updated treatment areas and equipment to support a wide range of therapeutic interventions. Electronic medical records systems streamline scheduling and documentation, allowing clinicians to focus on direct patient care.
In this position, you will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain, and spine-related issues. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized plans of care, delivering manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs, and providing education on injury prevention and home exercises. You will communicate regularly with referring providers and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
A typical day may include a balanced mix of new evaluations and follow-up visits across a broad age range, from young adults to older adults. Caseloads are structured to promote productivity while supporting thorough, high-quality treatment. Shifts are generally daytime hours on weekdays, with schedules tailored to meet patient needs and promote clinician work-life balance when possible.
