Estimator-Commercial Drywall Construction

Our Client, a leading and reputable construction company with nearly 65 years of experience, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to join their Pre-Construction team. This is an in-office position.

As a Commercial Drywall Estimator , you will be responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, preparing accurate proposals, and managing the estimation process for drywall projects. Your expertise will guide the pre-construction team in achieving the best possible outcomes for each project.

Interpret plans, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate, competitive bids for drywall projects. Create written proposals, incorporating all project requirements, scope of work, and cost estimates.
Material & Labor Costs: Maintain an understanding of local labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure accurate estimates. Code Compliance: Ensure all estimates comply with local, city, and state building codes for each assigned location.
Team Management: Manage and mentor project engineers and assistant estimators, providing support and guidance to help them develop professionally.
Continuously improve and expand your knowledge of all product lines, including drywall, acoustical systems, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8), and specialties (Div 10).
Collaborate with Pre-Construction Teams: Work closely with other members of the pre-construction team, including project managers, to ensure smooth project handover and accurate budgeting.
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.

• 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Estimator, or 5-7 years of overall relevant experience.
• Previous experience in commercial drywall estimation is highly preferred.
• Bonus Skills: Experience with construction management software, such as BuilderTrend or Procore, is a plus.
