Horton, Inc. is looking for a Mortgage Loan Originator for its Financial Services Branch. The successful candidate will promote and provide business development, origination of loans, and relationship management with customers and clients.
Interview mortgage applicants to understand and educate them on financing options available.
Maintain reports and notes within the origination software and CRM.
Manage daily loan pipeline (application to funding) to ensure smooth processing.
Make presentations on loan products in sales meetings and with sales staff in builder communities.
Quickly respond to Operations to facilitate an efficient loan process.
Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase the company’s goodwill and profit.
Able to work overtime.
Able to travel overnight.
Develop sales leads for mortgages in builder communities and real estate offices.
Provide weekend coverage in builder communities and grand opening functions.
Be familiar with and comply with all company QC policies, review updates to the manual, and attend meetings as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree from four‑year college or university.
Experience: One to two years of related experience and/or training.
Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
Possess general mortgage banking understanding (including but not limited to lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory timelines).
Proficiency with MS Office and email.
Ability to accurately and efficiently process and record a large volume of data.
