Ultrasonographer (Full-time), Radiology-Ultrasound

Job Overview Within the organizational structure of radiology, the successful candidate will perform ultrasound examinations to assist in direct patient care. The new hire will have 90 days from the start date to obtain a Reg Vascular Technologist certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. In a Convenient Care/Imaging Center setting, the technologist may also assist other modalities and perform other duties as assigned. The position provides technical and procedural support to Interventional Radiologists during ultrasound‑guided procedures.

Responsibilities include performing high‑quality ultrasound imaging to facilitate safe and accurate needle placement, preparing sterile equipment and biopsy trays, assisting with specimen handling, and collaborating closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care throughout the procedural process. Typical procedures include, but are not limited to: renal (kidney) biopsies, liver biopsies, lymph node biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and other ultrasound‑guided aspirations and biopsies as assigned. Shift: Full time during the day.

Qualifications Less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

RDMS certification from 'American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography'.

Reg Vascular Technologist certification from 'American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography' (to be obtained within 90 days).
