Licensed Practical Nurse
Licensed Practical Nurse will provide nursing care to students in a school setting for a 36-week contract in Tacoma, Washington. The role supports student health needs during the school day and collaborates with school staff and families to maintain a safe and organized health office environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care and health support to students during the school day in accordance with LPN scope of practice and school policies
Administer medications and treatments as ordered and document care accurately per school and district procedures
Perform basic assessments, provide first aid, and respond appropriately to student health concerns
Collaborate with school staff, parents/guardians, and healthcare providers to support student wellness and safe return-to-class planning
Maintain a safe, organized health office environment and support required health records, compliance needs, and daily nursing tasks
Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program (certificate/diploma) or equivalent
Active WA LPN license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Minimum 0 years of experience (new grads encouraged to apply)
Ability to work a daytime school schedule up to 6.5 hours per day
Availability for 32–40 hours per week (typically ~32.5 hours/week)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Professional, compassionate, and student-focused approach
Flexibility with pending facility details (orientation, EMR, scrubs, and other site expectations)
Preferred Skills:

~ Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred for school-based nursing)
