Fast Growing Manufacturer of complex magnetic assemblies and components used in a wide variety of applications including Aerospace/Defense and Medical Devices seeks a CNC Engineering Tech to support the machining portion of the operation. We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to bridge the gap between design and production. You will support the manufacturing process from quote to completion. This role goes beyond standard programming. You will continuously monitor live production, troubleshoot quality issues, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.
Write and modify CNC programs using Mastercam for all grinding equipment and also for CNC Milling Machine.
Research and source the best grinding wheels, CNC tools, and fixtures.
Manage new parts and prototypes until the manufacturing process is standardized.
Process Engineering & Routing
Define step-by-step manufacturing methods, selecting optimal machines and sequences.
Establish primary and secondary routing paths to eliminate floor bottlenecks.
Utilize SolidWorks to generate ferrite drawings, bubble drawings, and inspection templates.
Continuous Improvement & Floor Support
Own quality metrics : Investigate NCs (Non-Conformances) and CARs (Corrective Action Requests) to reduce scrap.
Analyze production data to increase machine efficiency and cycle times.
Understand all machining/grinding equipment to perform simple maintenance and troubleshoot errors.
Data & Inventory Management
Track data : Create, monitor, and modify production data collection systems.
Manage the grinding quote process for new customer inquiries.
Organize shop assets : Take full ownership of the bobbin cabinet inventory.
Serve as a technical advisor for new machinery acquisitions.
