Position Overview Join our team as a Part‑Time Veterinarian with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. Tulare‑Kings Veterinary Emergency Service in Visalia, CA is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join our growing team. We are a busy Emergency & Critical Care practice offering services 365 days a year.

We are looking for Part‑Time Veterinarians with ideally at least 3 years of experience in Small Animal Practice, Emergency Medicine or Board Certification in Emergency and Critical Care.

Key Responsibilities Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups

Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery

Maintaining accurate medical records

Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations

Evaluate and monitor protocols for hospital operation from intake to discharge

Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels

Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university

Current State Veterinary License

DEA registration

1+ years of experience in emergency practice

Excellent surgical skills

Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality care

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Advanced clinical knowledge in cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other examinations

Problem‑solving and process‑improvement skills

Business acumen regarding hospital management and finances

Compensation and Benefits Compensation for Part‑Time roles is prorated based on experience and hours/shifts worked. Salary ranges listed below reflect full‑time roles.
