Job DescriptionSUMMARYThe Manager - Shared Service Accounting is a key member of the corporate accounting and SEC reporting team, with responsibility to manage the accounting for centralized functions. This leadership results in the timely and accurate recognition of transactions, provides technical accounting guidance and is charged with execution of key internal controls. Responsible for providing accounting oversight and significant expertise to Branch Support Center and field management. This role operates in a customer-focused, shared-services environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupport internal monthly, quarterly and annual month-end close process to provide timely execution of financial results for managementReview monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for fixed assets, intangibles, leases and cashResearch fluctuations in account balances/activity and provide detailed explanations to management.Liaise between accounting staff and departmental/field leadership to understand key projects and advise on accounting treatment, where necessary.Lead financial integration activities into TopBuild’s systems and processes for leases and fixed assets acquired through M&A.Monitor compliance with TopBuild Accounting Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.Other project involvement may include research of new accounting pronouncements, ad-hoc reporting & analytics requests and process improvementsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years’ experience in Accounting required.Solid foundation in U.GAAP and ASC 842 exposure (Leases)Intermediate Excel and ERP experience. Tango, SAGE, Oracle a plus.Minimum of 3 days onsite each week will be required.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSType of Travel Required: National, Regional, Local Amount of Travel Required: <10%PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting of boxes or packages under 10 lbs., Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.EOE Protected Veterans/DisabilityCompensation Range:$96,000.00 - $149,500.00To comply with Pay Transparency laws, employers must disclose an annual salary range.
