As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you'll function as the technical lead and lead the practical application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) on key company projects. You'll be responsible for designing and developing complex tooling and robust manufacturing processes, ensuring that our most important products are built efficiently and reliably. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.Responsibilities:Function as the Technical Lead for implementation of DFM/DFA principles on critical new product introduction (NPI) programs to ensure designs are optimized for production.Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality standards.Architect the process flow and workstation layout for new production lines, ensuring optimal efficiency and ergonomics.Design, develop, and validate sophisticated production tooling and fixtures.Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions.Qualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline.10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.Demonstrated expertise in leading DFM/DFA workshops for complex systems.Proven experience managing the manufacturing engineering deliverables for a complete product lifecycle, from concept to production ramp.Expert proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and process documentation.Extensive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices.Qualification We Prefer:Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification.Experience with digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies.Extensive background in Aerospace and Defense industry.Knowledge of industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes.Participation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB).Experience with new product introduction and transition to production.Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.This posting will be open for application for a minimum of 5 days and may be extended based on business needs.SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.Security Clearance.
