Job Title: Material Handler Job Description
This role involves hands-on material handling in a production and warehouse environment. You will use a computer system to track parts, follow pick lists, and move materials accurately to designated staging areas for further processing. The position focuses on manual loading, general labor, and inventory-related tasks to support efficient production operations.
Handle and move raw stock materials, including steel and aluminum bar stock, throughout the production and warehouse areas.
Use computer systems to track parts, update inventory information, and follow pick lists accurately.
Pick, sort, and stage materials in the correct locations to ensure timely processing and production flow.
Perform manual loading and unloading of materials without the use of a forklift.
Support general production activities by ensuring materials are available and properly organized.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area to support a safe and efficient industrial environment.
Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while performing all material handling tasks.
Collaborate with production and warehouse team members to meet daily material handling and production goals.
Experience in material handling and general labor within production or warehouse environments.
Ability to use a computer to track parts, follow pick lists, and update inventory information.
Familiarity with general production processes and workflow.
Attention to detail when staging and organizing materials for processing.
Background in warehouse operations, including inventory and general production support.
Comfort working with raw stock materials such as steel and aluminum bar stock.
Ability to work effectively in a structured, safety-focused industrial environment.

The role is based in a very safe, very clean industrial facility that handles raw stock steel and aluminum bar stock. You will work in production and warehouse areas with a focus on manual material handling rather than forklift operation. The environment emphasizes safety procedures, cleanliness, and organization to support smooth production and inventory flow, with attire suitable for an industrial setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA.
