Arborist Climber - Full Time

This is an entry-level opportunity as an Arborist Ground Person to gain practical field experience in scientific tree and shrub care on commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities Be an integral member of a tree care crew and assist Bartlett's arborists in practical field work and training
Perform all aspects of arboriculture under supervision, including pruning trees, rigging, cabling and bracing, and removal of hazardous trees
Properly maintain and operate equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts)
Implement work zone safety procedures and assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties
Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company policies
Assist Arborist Climbers and Arborist Crew Leaders on the ground and aloft
Engage in year-round outdoor manual labor in all weather conditions with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Qualifications Valid driver's license
Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Landscape Management, Environmental Science or related field is preferred but not required
Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required
Interest in outdoor work and environmental stewardship
Ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team
Strong safety awareness and a passion for nature
