We are seeking an experienced Chief Estimator to join our team!Competitive Bonus Package!Flexible Work Schedules!Company Truck/Truck Allowance!This role is vital to the success of our future projects, and the individual will be responsible for overseeing all estimating operations within our organization's western region. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in various aspects of construction, including heavy civil/heavy highway mega projects. Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects or services.Oversee the preparation of thorough, accurate, and competitive estimates, including analyzing and evaluating bidding risks and strategies.Review and understand all bid documents and assess project risks.Understand project logistics and project schedule to ensure project success.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide clear and detailed project estimates.Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure comprehensive project estimates.Proven experience in Design Build, heavy highway, public works, and private work.Proficient in HCSS Heavy Bid or equivalent estimating software.Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.Professional Estimator Certification is a plus.
