Mortgage Originator, Full Time

Underwrite mortgage loan applications in accordance with industry standards, investor requirements and Heritage Bank loan policy to minimize potential risk or loss.

Underwrite a full range of mortgage loans including Agency, Jumbo, FHA, and VA loans

Proactively manage a pipeline of loans and ensure all documentation meets company guidelines

Provide best-in-class client service through professional communication and with internal and external customers

Analyze and evaluate loan applications and supporting documentation to determine program eligibility, credit worthiness and assess the repayment capacity to maximize profit and minimize risk or loss

Participates in all required BSA training and demonstrates the knowledge of BSA relative to job responsibilities

High school diploma or GED required; 3-5 years of mortgage underwriting experience required, ideally with 2 years in FHA/VA loans
