Melmark is a not-for-profit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders.
They will collaborate in developing/implementing teaching plans that are appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents (ages 3-21 years) with emotional, developmental and/or behavioral needs. The Educational Coordinator ensures implementation of the curriculum in conjunction with Lead Special Education Teachers, and in collaboration with Massachusetts DESE Educational Administrators. Educational Coordinators are expected to implement highly technical clinical and teaching programs that require them to be constantly alert, attentive and ready to respond to student’s needs.
BCBA
Serves as a clinician for a caseload of students
Prepares for IEP meetings, including IEP writing for behavior need area, Behavior Support Plan (BSP) development, Functional Behavior Assessment, Preference Assessment and other supporting documents.
Holds weekly classroom meetings and completes corresponding training roster and documentation.
Ensures all data collection is accurate as prescribed by target behavior and instructional programming.
