Nurse (Health Care)

Novant Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation

Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on care plans

Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols

Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives

Support a culture of diversity, respect, and compassionate care

Precept or mentor new nurses and clinical staff as needed

Patient assessment

Care planning and care coordination

Medication administration

IV therapy and venipuncture

Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation (e.g., Epic, Cerner)

Vital signs and hemodynamic monitoring

Wound care and dressing changes

Infection control and prevention

Patient and family education

Basic life support and emergency response

Qualifications

Valid RN license in state of practice

BLS certification

ACLS preferred

PALS or NIH Stroke Scale certification a plus
