Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. This position involves working nights across various units including Medical Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, Stroke Neuro, Step-Down ICU, and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Candidates must possess ICU experience and be flexible to float down to Medical Surgical as needed. Extensive cardiac experience is also required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in the care of patients.
Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws.
Documents patient care according to established standards.
Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physician or hospital policy, including patient and family education.
Participates in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
Employs critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, appropriately escalating issues to the chain of command.
Requirements
Current Illinois RN License
CPR and ACLS certification
NIHSS certification
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, specifically in an ICU setting

Shift Information
This position involves working from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including holiday coverage.
