Full Time Automotive Parts Counter

JOB PROFILE:

Sells automotive parts and equipment to customers, over the counter, through the shop or on the phone by performing the following duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists customers in selecting required parts; for walk-in customers suggest companion requirements, offer specials and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
Pulls purchased parts from stock.
If part is not in stock, determine availability, urgency for the part and submit an order.
Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other related information.
Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
Verifies "will call" and "back-order" files daily and return to vendors, or stock those items not required.
Orders parts not in stock if, after discussion with Service Advisor, it is determined what parts are needed
Notifies the Service Advisor and the customer that ordered parts have been received.
Ensures that before parts can be charged out, the technician presents a duplicate copy of the repair order and a parts requisition.
Ensures that all charges are signed by the customer.
Presents customer with a copy of the invoice.
Provides friendly, professional and efficient service to all customers.
Issues credit for returned parts verifying pricing and purchase, any without proper documentation must be approved by the Parts Manager.
Takes inventory of stock.
