We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide nursing services and medically monitor clients in our substance abuse detox facility — playing a vital role in supporting individuals through one of the most critical steps in their recovery journey.

24 hour, 1st shift position

Pay: $42.55/hour + $1.50/hour shift premium

• As a Nurse (RN), you will provide direct nursing care and administer prescribed detoxification protocols to clients in our Detox department. Working as part of SCADD's multidisciplinary team and reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will serve as a primary nurse for individual clients — coordinating their care, responding to their needs, and helping guide them toward health and recovery.

Perform initial nursing assessments and document ongoing client assessments in response to treatment

Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans according to the age and specific needs of each client

Participate in and supervise nursing care, providing direct physical care measures as needed

Act as a primary nurse, working with individual clients and coordinating their treatment

Execute the medical regimen of care as prescribed by the physician

Educate clients and families toward an understanding of health, illness, and plans for post-discharge care

Respond to medical and psychiatric emergency needs of clients

Participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties

Associate degree in nursing or a related health care field; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; Current State of Connecticut Department of Public Health Registered Nurse License required

Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, external health care providers, clients, and families
