The Capital Procurement Buyer role is a key contributor to Qnity Electronics’ capital sourcing strategy, responsible for procuring capital equipment and services across North American operations. The Buyer works closely with the Capital Procurement Lead (CPL), Category Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective procurement execution.
Key Responsibilities Capital Procurement Execution Manage sourcing and procurement activities for capital equipment and services at Qnity Electronics sites in North America.
Adapt procurement processes to meet evolving project and business needs.
Stakeholder Collaboration Engage early with stakeholders (BEM, BEL, PTL, SEL) to align procurement with project requirements and timelines.
Serve as a procurement representative on project teams to ensure vendor needs are addressed promptly.
Coordinate with Logistics, Accounts Payable, and project teams to ensure timely delivery, invoicing, and order closure.
Identify and qualify suppliers, including facilitating new supplier setup in SAP.
Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Apply TCO and lifecycle cost analysis in supplier selection and negotiations.
Process Improvement & Training Contribute to the development of procurement metrics aligned with business goals.
Participate in training initiatives and support simplification of procurement processes.
Solid understanding of capital procurement processes and industrial equipment sourcing.
Proficiency in SAP and supplier onboarding workflows.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years minimum of procurement experience, preferably in Capital Procurement or Industrial Sourcing.
Familiarity with project management and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Minimal Travel within the United States & Canada
