Mechanical Engineer- Cheyenne, WYREQUIREMENT- Must be a US Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screenDuties/Responsibilities:Candidate will provide engineering services on several simultaneous federal projects ranging in value up from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in construction value.Experience with large Federal Building Design and Construction Projects, or other similarly complex projects is desired. For this requirement, "Large" projects are defined as a construction value of at least $100 million or more.Candidate will be responsible for site observation and reporting on multiple assigned projects to government personnel.Candidate will provide technical and administrative support.Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements.Deliver recommendations to government personnel regarding compliance with contract provisions.Candidate should be prepared to review and interpret plans and specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.Provide field surveillance and prepare daily detailed reports covering all pertinent factors affecting cost and engineering considerations.Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.Emphasis is placed on knowledge and experience with but not limited to HVAC systems, system controls, building automation, chilled water, plumbing, humidification, data centers, and other complex mechanical-engineering related elements found in large and complex buildings and utility plants.Education/Experience:Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited collegeMinimum of 10 years of engineering; construction and contract administration experience.Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferredUS Army Corps of Engineering (USACE) or other federal project experience, preferredExperience using RMS 3.0, preferredDemonstrate proficiency and effective communications skills in the English language in both oral and written formsInteraction with clients and contractors requires candidate to have a professional presentation along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development and career advancement opportunities.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Equal Opportunity Employer (U.S.) all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
