Location East Georgia Campus - Swainsboro, GA Department Information Grounds Operations Job Summary Maintain, care, and modify University grounds and landscape. Operate electrically/gasoline-powered equipment and machines. Use small hand and power tools in planting, cultivating, trimming grounds and landscaping. Perform routine landscaping tasks within assigned areas (i.e., Identify, prepare and apply herbicides, pesticides, chemicals, fertilizers
Maintain turf by mowing, seeding, sodding, edging of sidewalks and watering
Assist with tree trimming, clean-up and removal
Operate lawnmowers and various equipment used in landscaping and parking lot maintenance
Perform general and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment (i.e., sharpening blades, changing oils, lubricants, filters, belts)
Operate pressure washers to clean exterior building cleaning
Adhere to OSHA standards, employ safe practices, and follow safety policies/procedures
High School Diploma or equivalent

One (1) or more years of related work experience
Experience performing commercial landscape maintenance
Experience operating commercial lawn mowers and small power equipment
Ability to operate a University vehicle
Proposed Salary $15.84 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis. Required Documents to Attach
