Full Time Litigation Attorney

A respected and growing litigation firm is seeking a Mid-Level Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team representing and defending public entities , including municipalities, government agencies, school districts, and public officials.

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation associate who wants meaningful courtroom experience, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to handle sophisticated civil matters with real community impact.

Position Overview
The attorney will manage a diverse civil litigation caseload focused on public entity defense. Matters may include constitutional claims, civil rights litigation, tort liability, employment disputes, premises liability, and general governmental liability matters.

Attorneys in this role will take ownership of cases while working closely with experienced litigators and public-sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

Handle all phases of civil litigation from inception through resolution

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive motions

Conduct depositions, witness preparation, and legal research

Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials

Provide legal analysis and strategic counseling to public entity clients

Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on case strategy

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school

Active bar admission in the applicable jurisdiction

3-7 years of civil litigation experience

Experience representing public entities, municipalities, or government agencies strongly preferred

Background in civil rights defense, employment defense, or general liability litigation is a plus

Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

Ability to independently manage cases while working in a team environment

Compensation

Full-time

Salary range: $165,000-$200,000 annually + performance bonuses(Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.)
