Full Time Physiatrist Needed

Physical TherapistNaphCare is hiring a Physical Therapist to join our team of medical professionals in the AZ DOC - ASPC Eyman located at 4374 East Butte Avenue, Florence, Arizona.Pay rates range from $53.00 - $58.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience.As a Correctional Physical Therapist, you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the incarcerated individuals in residence. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical and dental needs.ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist for NaphCare, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments or injuries using various techniques, including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities, to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. Responsibilities may include but not be limited to:Conducting physical examinations to assess patients' range of motion, strength, balance, and coordinationReviewing medical histories and imaging resultsIdentifying and diagnosing underlying physical conditionsDeveloping individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific needsEducating patients on proper exercise techniques and self-care strategiesTracking patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as neededCollaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapistsProvide documentation and maintain patient recordsAdhering to ethical and legal standardsKeeping updated on the latest research and advancements in physical therapyQualificationsQualifications for Physical Therapist:Have a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Degree in ArizonaMust hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state where you are practicingMust possess an active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA preferred)Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical thinking skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, compassion, and attentiveness are necessary for interacting with staff, patients, and other healthcare professionalsKnowledge of relevant regulations and guidelinesAbility to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issuesMust have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirementsMust pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screeningPhysical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.NaphCare is one of the largest providers of healthcare services to correctional facilities throughout the US, and we are growing.
