The posted compensation range of $36.94 - $53.56 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team. Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
Assists with preparation of unit schedules.
Maintains current staff certifications per regulatory requirements.
Guides peer interviewing process in the selection of unit staff.
Provides input and feedback to the nurse manager in regards to team performance management.
Assists with payroll activities such as monitoring timekeeping.
Effectively manages material and supply usage.
Facilitates ongoing problem solving that utilizes Department PI to achieve desired quality outcomes.
Conducts on-the-job training and education on topics such as quality and patient satisfaction.
Accountable for patient/physician satisfaction, leading process improvement efforts/measures
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care according to established standards, policies and procedures.
Maintains and supports an atmosphere that supports and encourages high performance, teamwork and continual improvement of staff.
Helps facilitate the flow of information to staff through numerous channels and opportunities.
Maintains ongoing compliance with regulatory standards through patient rounding, EOC (environment of care) rounding, and physician rounding.
Serves as a clinical resource in area of specialty.

Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging.
