This position underwrites mortgage loan applications evaluating loans to determine credit risk, minimizes risk and loss, as well as ensuring eligibility for sale to the secondary market. Obtain all required documentation, such as appraisal, title, escrow, verification of employment/income, asset verification, credit, insurance binders, etc.
Assist in gathering loan conditions assigned by the Underwriter that will satisfy the condition.
Communicate with borrower(s) directly on behalf of the Loan Officer via preferred contact method (IE email, phone, POS System etc.) Schedule and maintain weekly pipeline review meetings with assigned Loan Officers and adhere to the Processor Driven Pipeline Management Policy.
Proactively communicate and set expectations about what the process will or may potentially involve, including turnaround times for receipt of documents and impact of delays if applicable.
Effectively manage assigned loan pipeline and actively work these loan through the process to closing.
Order all required documentation, such as appraisal, title, escrow, verification of employment/income, asset verification, credit, insurance binders, etc. Maintain and apply up to date technical knowledge of software, programs and interfaces.
Issue needs list to Loan Officers and/or clients in a timely manner and assist our Loan Officers and customers with understanding of the loan requirements to guide the loan to closing.
Assess income, credit and asset documents against guidelines to ensure feasible submissions to underwriting; Communicate all changes in file status to underwriter.
Manage customers' expectations for internal processing timelines and provide frequent status updates. appropriately escalate issues as needed while maintaining personal accountability for issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
Submit files for loan closing documents within timeframes.
Complete 12 hours of annual training per year as outlined per company policy.
Performance Expectations:
Provide a "WOW" experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication and/or in person.
Be willing to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise.
Perform all actions in accordance with policies and procedures of the company.
Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
High school graduate or equivalent.

• Proven work experience of 2 or more years in mortgage processing.
• 2-3 years Wholesale lending experience, preferred
• Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift, which may include extended periods of sitting and/or standing. May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver's license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL's Auto Insurance policy.

The base hourly rate for this position is $24.85 - $48.22 per hour, depending on a number of factors including location and experience. If applicable, associate may be eligible for per-file incentives, commissions, bonuses or other variable earnings as determined upon hire.
Eligible associates (and their families) have the option to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage of which both the associate and the company contribute towards expenses. Basic Life/AD&D insurance for eligible associates as well as a Short-term Disability benefit are provided by Evergreen. Additional Voluntary Life/AD&D, Long-term Disability benefits and Legal/ID protection plans paid for by the associate are also available. Personal Time Off (PTO) of up to 13.34 hours may be earned monthly and associates may enjoy 9 paid holidays each year.
