Remote Mental Health LCSW

Sixth Sense Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our team in a remote capacity, focusing on school-based settings. Provide individual psychotherapy tailored to clients with mental health and substance abuse issues, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Conduct thorough assessments to identify mental health needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring seamless communication with team members and stakeholders.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care and enhance recovery outcomes.

Educate patients and their families on mental health resources and coping strategies related to substance abuse.

Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed about the latest research and advancements in social work practices relevant to substance abuse.

The clientele you will be working with consists of individuals from various backgrounds struggling with substance abuse and accompanying mental health challenges. This role emphasizes understanding the unique situations of each patient, including their cultural, social, and economic contexts, to provide personalized care that addresses the complexities of their recovery process.

A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

A minimum of one year of clinical experience, with a focus on substance abuse therapy.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a trusting relationship with clients and team members.

Experience working directly with school-aged children and adolescents is highly desirable, as it will allow for effective engagement and support in a school-based context.

Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring a smooth transition to virtual care.
