Sub Teachers

Colorado International Language Academy (CILA) is a unique international charter school offering language immersion (50% in 1st-5th grades) in three world languages—Mandarin Chinese, German, and Spanish. Our students not only learn math and language literacy, but also gain insight into cultural aspects of their target language, fostering a GLOBAL perspective. At CILA, students develop essential 21st-century skills by exploring diverse cultures, gaining respect and understanding, and preparing to live and work in a global community.

We are seeking passionate and dedicated substitute teachers for the 2026/27 school year who can step in and support our students’ learning when full-time teachers are unavailable. Substitute teachers play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of learning and creating a positive, engaging classroom environment.

Provide instruction in place of regular classroom teachers, following the teacher’s lesson plans or, if necessary, adapting plans to meet the needs of students.

• Support English language literacy, including reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and writing, for elementary students.
• Collaborate with staff and follow school protocols for instructional support and behavior management.
• Bachelor's degree or higher (Education degree preferred, but not required).
• Ability to stand for long periods and engage in physical activity, including stooping, kneeling, and supervising outdoor activities.
• Comfortable with varied weather conditions during outdoor supervision.
