Healthcare RN (Weekend Shift)

Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical unit. This role involves providing exceptional care to patients with various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and be capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient-centered care in the MedSurg unit, focusing on common diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), hypertension, COPD exacerbations, and more.Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage intravenous (IV) drips as required.Participate in team-based decisions regarding patient care plans and treatment pathways.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.Float to other units as needed based on departmental requirements and staffing needs.QualificationsActive RN license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.Experience in managing patient care in a MedSurg setting, including familiarity with common titrable medications.Skills in reading ECG strips, as nurse will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Unit SpecificsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekNurse:Patient ratio: 1:4Weekend Requirement: Minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule.Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available for staff.Orientation will be provided, with specific dates and locations communicated during the onboarding process.Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs required.Additional InformationEmployees may be required to float to other units as determined by nursing management, including within Zone 1 facilities.
