Overnight Registered Nurse (Child Care)

Registered Nurse - Mother-Baby/Nursery
Location: Walnut Creek, CA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend requirement.
Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for mothers and newborns in a Mother-Baby/Nursery unit. This includes monitoring and supporting patients through the recovery and bonding process post-delivery.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care for mothers and well newborns, ensuring safety and comfort.
Assess and monitor patient vitals, providing immediate response to needs.
Educate families on infant care and breastfeeding.
Collaborate with lactation consultants and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using Epic.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Minimum 3 years clinical experience, with 3 years in a Mother-Baby or similar specialty.
Current California RN license required at time of submission.
Certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA or ARC only).
Preferred certifications include CLE and IBCLC.
Prior travel experience is strongly preferred.
