The ideal Carpenter will demonstrate mechanical proficiency with hand tools, project layout, and blueprint reading while performing work in a team environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Fabricate and erect bulkheads.
Fabricate and erect framing
Fabricate and erect formwork.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to interpret OSHA regulations as they pertain to specific jobs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read blueprints.
Marine construction knowledge a plus.
Familiarity with OSHA Construction and Maritime Standards.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
Possesses basic mechanical skills.
Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma (or 1-2 years of employment history)
• 2+ years' work experience
• Experience in Marine Construction is preferred but not necessary.

Must be able to lift as much as 40 pounds at times.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
Exposure to construction and marine site dangers.
Adjusting or moving objects in all directions (pushing/pulling/lifting).
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, and power tools.
Work in extreme weather conditions
Ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
Ability to respond quickly to sounds and handle noisy environments.
Able to traverse all areas of the jobsite in all types of weather; this may require walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
