More about our team The Med/Surg unit provides direct patient care to acutely ill adult patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. This position coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient advocate and works as part of a team with ancillary and non-nursing departments.
How you'll contribute A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:
Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care; Documents patient care provided.
Assists RN with development of plan of care.
Assists patients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and responses to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and family.
Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.

What we're looking for Applicants should have a current Active Kentucky LPN License Required (single state or compact). If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
Graduate of accredited LPN program
