Accounting Book Keeper Remote Job

The Opportunity
ThreeSixty is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our Finance department. This role exists to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded, categorized, and current at all times. You will own the day-to-day bookkeeping and transactional processing for the organization.

Position Purpose
The core intent of this role is to maintain clean, reconciled books that allow our Controller to close quickly, confidently, and without rework. You will be expected to collaborate across roles and contribute wherever needed to ensure the success of the team and our clients.

Key Responsibilities
1.Transaction Processing

Accurately record all revenue, expenses, and journal entries in a timely manner.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process vendor bills, prepare payments for approval, issue invoices, and support follow-up on outstanding receivables.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts monthly

4. Payroll Processing Support

Prepare and process payroll and commission entries accurately based on approved data and compensation structures.

5. Process Development & Management

Execute and develop key internal workflows, including the Invoice Creation Process, Bill Entry & Payment Process, and Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation Process.

First 90 Days
Days 1 to 30: Learn our business structure, master our accounting software environment, and take over basic transaction processing.
Days 31 to 60 : Take full ownership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and begin assisting with month-end close procedures.
Days 61 to 90: Successfully execute month-end reconciliations independently, ensure all financial records are audit-ready, and begin optimizing internal workflows

Ideal Qualifications and Experience
This describes the strongest candidate profile rather than a list of hard requirements. We would rather speak with someone who has an unconventional path and the right instincts than pass over them for a missing line item.

2+ years of hands-on, dedicated bookkeeping experience.
Solid grasp of foundational bookkeeping principles, including debits/credits, managing a Chart of Accounts, and understanding cash vs. accrual tracking.
Demonstrated experience managing Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and multi-account bank reconciliations.
Strong working knowledge of modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and spreadsheet tools (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).
Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize transactional entry, and consistently meet strict month-end deadlines.
Active bookkeeping certifications (such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor or NACPB/AIPB certification) are considered a strong plus.

Compensation and Details
Base salary: $35,000 to $50,000 annually (depending on placement level: Bookkeeper I, II, or III), paid hourly over 24 pay periods per year.
Bonus: Eligible for the annual company profitability bonus program and employee recognition programs.
Location : Hybrid remote work model (2-3 days in office) based in Tonawanda, NY (Buffalo area).
