Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a dynamic Med/Surg and Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients and collaborate effectively with a team of healthcare professionals.Shift and SchedulingShift: NightsShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 48 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirement: Yes, 1-2 winter holidaysCall Requirement: Yes, up to 4 times during contract durationRoles and ResponsibilitiesProvide patient care in a telemetry environment with a focus on Med/Surg.Float as needed to various Med/Surg and Telemetry units to meet patient care demands.Monitor patients' health and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Prepare and assist with patient examinations and procedures.Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and medications.Unit Information7th Floor - Surgical unit (abdominal surgeries, trauma) - 36 beds8BC - Long-term low acuity unit - 17 beds9th Floor - General medical cases - 38 beds2 South - Short stay and cardiac unit - 41 beds3 South - Neuro unit - 33 beds4 South - Ortho and spine unit - 21 bedsQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required.Current BLS Certification is mandatory.Ability to titrate IV drips according to established protocols.Experience with telemetry monitoring preferred.Patient Care and Team StructurePatient ratios: RNs typically manage 4-5 patients; CNAs manage 8-11 patients.Telemetry monitored remotely by techs, with RNs verifying readings.Available respiratory equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP.Additional InformationNew team members will receive a 4-hour orientation for each assigned unit. Flexibility to float to alternate units and fulfillment of additional roles, such as CNA or entrance screener, may be required based on staffing needs.Client Details City Tacoma State WA
