Buyer- Production Purchasing

Our Express Employment Professionals client is seeking a Purchaser to support procurement activities by purchasing goods and services in alignment with departmental and organizational policies. This role works closely with production, engineering, estimating, and finance teams to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and material availability.

Monday-Friday
~Flexible schedule within core business hours of 9:00 a.m. - Experience purchasing from engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) in a fabrication or manufacturing environment with complex components
Familiarity with materials such as:
Valves and instrumentation
Electrical wiring
Paint and insulation materials used in chemical processing or oilfield equipment

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Create and process purchase orders based on production requirements and company policies
Ensure purchasing agreements are accurate, complete, and contain appropriate terms and conditions
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing
Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and estimating teams to forecast material needs and ensure availability
Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and vendor information
Analyze market trends and material cost fluctuations
Coordinate with finance to ensure timely payments and optimized delivery schedules
Support estimating activities by quoting materials and entering costs into estimating spreadsheets
Negotiate pricing and terms with material and contract labor vendors
Support project execution by reviewing estimates and identifying cost or lead-time variances
Ensure procurement activities align with production schedules and on-time delivery goals
Primarily desk-based work requiring sustained computer use, visual focus, and typing
Occasional site walks requiring standing, walking, stooping, crawling, and use of tools
Infrequent travel Colorado, Wyoming, and surrounding areas
