Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU at Atrium Health Lake Norman – Lake Norman, North Carolina. Part‑time, 4 hours per week with PRN coverage in a 36‑hour period over 6 weeks. Pay: $34.90‑$52.35 per hour.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive critical‑care nursing care to patients in a low‑to‑moderate acuity MICU.

Coordinate care through the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Lead efforts to create a safe patient environment and deliver the best patient experience using evidence‑based practice and clinical decision‑making.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred: 2 years of ICU experience.

About the Unit

The 8‑bed ICU is co‑located with a 13‑bed Progressive Care Unit. This low‑to‑moderate acuity unit specializes in caring for patients with a range of medical conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions. The team collaborates with physicians from multiple specialties to provide high‑quality, compassionate care.
