Material Handler/Casual Labor

We are currently in search of an experienced Material Handler to assist with the storage, control and distribution of materials according to company needs. The primary objective of the Material Handler is to implement efficient receiving, warehouse, material handling, inventory, and shipping solutions to support the overall manufacturing operation while optimizing space and improving labor productivity.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent attention to detail, be able to multitask, have strong knowledge, skills, and get along well with others. The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring adequate levels of material and evaluating inventory needs. This position also conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems and develop and implement inventory control procedures.

This position is a temp-to-hire using a third-party agency. Perform cycle counts, investigate variances, and report inventory inaccuracies

Assist in problem-solving when inventory discrepancies occur

Follow EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) guidelines to minimize inventory costs

Ensures such policies and procedures as designated for warehousing are followed safely, accurately, and efficiently

Ability to multi-task and set priorities without jeopardizing project schedule

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Raw material handling

Experience with moving parts and heavy lifting

Operating standing and sitting forklifts

Inventory Control Experience

Counting parts

Standing/walking often - throughout the facility

Office environment with AC. fans are available in some areas of the building

Dress code is casual: closed-toed safety boots required, no tank tops, shorts to the knee ok

This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law
