Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a well-established legal team in Rochester, NY. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in complex litigation within a law firm environment. The position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated cases while gaining exposure to municipal and state court matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and argue motions effectively.
Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
Manage document review and production.
Conduct and defend depositions.
Handle state court litigation, with preference for experience in municipal work.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in New York State.
- 3-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Professional presence and client-focused mindset.
Skill Sets Required:
- Litigation strategy and case management.
- Legal research and persuasive writing.
