Registered Nurse - Nursing Pool - Night Shift

Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role requires strong experience in telemetry or intermediate care. The successful candidate will support patient care in a dynamic and demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the PCU.
Manage telemetry for cardiac monitoring and respond to changes in patient conditions.
Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
Administer and manage O2 protocols and non-invasive airway interventions.
Provide care and management of peripheral lines.
Implement isolation precautions and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Administer cardiac drips such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and amiodarone.
Activate rapid response team when necessary.
Utilize computerized documentation for patient care.
Patient Ratios

RN: 1:4-6

CNA: 1:6-13 on days and 1:10-13 on nights Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in PCU, IMC, or similar settings.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Ability to float to various units, including nearby facilities, as required.
No first-time travelers will be considered for this position.
Willingness to work every other weekend.
Responsible for managing shifts based on facility needs, following a set cancellation policy.
Work Schedule
This position requires 12-hour shifts during the day, from 07:00 to 19:30, with a preference for candidates who are flexible and can adapt to changing patient care needs.
Additional Information

Free parking available for staff.
Must be open to floating to provide care across multiple adult inpatient units.
Charting will be conducted using Epic.
Emergency licenses accepted for qualified candidates.
