Yard Worker
Viking, a Texas tradition in fencing since 1972, is looking for a full-time, non-exempt Yard Worker to join our Sanitation division. If you are a forklift pro with a positive attitude and a knack for detail, we want to hear from you!
Operate forklift and banding equipment safely and efficiently.
Clean & sanitize rental equipment
Use various motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jacks and dollies.
Make sandbags for temporary fence rental orders.
Accurately load trucks based on outgoing orders.
Receive inbound material and organize in the yard.
Maintain excellent yard presentation.
Secure freight on trucks using appropriate tools and supplies.
Work safely and efficiently, following company safety policies.
Complete special projects as needed.
Regularly lift freight and objects (up to 50 lbs.).
1-2 years of forklift operation in a yard setting (a plus).
- Basic welding experience is advantageous.
- Positive and flexible attitude with a strong attention to detail.
