TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified IMC RN in Roanoke, Virginia, 24014!

Registered Nurse – PCU / Medical-Surgical Float
Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Float between PCU and Medical-Surgical units as determined by staffing needs, which are re-evaluated every four hours; candidates must be comfortable working all PCU and MS units
Provide stepdown-level care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and titrating cardiac drips
Manage central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)
Administer IV therapy, perform phlebotomy, and manage blood product administration, PCA protocols, heparin protocols, and IV insulin
Respond to emergencies as part of Rapid Response and Code teams
Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
Active Virginia State RN license or active Compact RN license required at time of submission (pending license accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state)
Minimum one year of experience in PCU, stepdown, IMC, or DOU-level nursing care
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
Demonstrated experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered; Background in telemetry or cardiovascular care, including pre- and post-cardiac catheterization settings
Comfort with high-acuity float assignments and variable patient ratios (PCU 5:1; Opportunity to work at a large, Magnet-designated acute care teaching hospital that serves as the region's only Level I Trauma Center for both adults and pediatrics
First-time travelers are welcome, offering an excellent entry point into travel nursing at a high-acuity, nationally recognized facility
