Overview
Sentara Careplex Hospital, a 224‑bed acute care facility in Hampton, VA, is looking for an Emergency Department Technician to support inpatient and outpatient emergency services. This position serves as a gateway into the medical field and involves lab draws, EKGs, and assisting nurses and doctors with patient care.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory draws and specimen collection.

Conduct EKGs and other diagnostic assessments.

Assist nurses and physicians with patient care activities.

Collaborate effectively with the ED team to ensure high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

EMT‑B with state or national certification at the time of hire OR

Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR

Current student enrolled in a clinical program (RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) with at least one semester completed.
