Emergency Department Technician I

Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) Sentara Leigh Hospital is currently hiring for a part‑time Emergency Department Technician position. This role is scheduled for the 3rd shift (night hours) in Norfolk, VA. As an ED Tech with Sentara, you will work in either inpatient or outpatient emergency department settings. Your primary responsibilities include performing lab draws, EKGs, and assisting nurses and doctors with patient care. Teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. Job Requirements Education High School Graduate or Equivalent (Required) Experience Clinical experience of De‑escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire (Required) Certification/Licensure BLS certification within 90 days of hire (Required) New incumbents must also have one of the following in addition to the minimum education: EMT‑B with state or national certification at time of hire OR Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR Current students enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy) Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the above criteria. #J-18808-Ljbffr
