Emergency Department Technician

Sentara Leigh Hospital is currently hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech). This is a part-time position with day shift hours located in Norfolk, VA. Job Requirements Education Required: High School Grad or Equivalent Experience Required: Clinical Required: De-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Certification/Licensure Required: BLS certification within 90 days of hire for all incumbents. New incumbents must have one of the following in addition to the minimum Education: EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR Current students enrolled in a clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy). Prior Employment: Candidates with prior employment in the Sentara ED tech job code in the past two years will also be considered in lieu of the 3 criteria above. As an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) with Sentara, you can work in either inpatient or outpatient Emergency Department settings.
