Material Handler - Full-time Temporary

Job Overview The Material Handler / Industrial Truck Operator (ITO) is responsible for the timely delivery and pick-up of material to the production areas to meet scheduling and production needs. This role performs safe operation of all mobile equipment, organizes raw, WIP, and finished goods materials, and accurately enters data into the inventory management system.

2. Job Dimensions The position supports all production operations to optimize output and minimize waste while maintaining excellent quality and safety standards.

Principal Accountabilities Employ safe forklift operation and maneuvering skills to move materials.

Conduct housekeeping, tow motor, and hoist inspections.

Package and wrap finished goods to specific customer requirements.

Issue and receive raw and sub‑assembly material to the production floor.

Provide rollstock and pallets to the production floor.

Assemble, monitor, and weigh production‑generated scrap gaylords.

Understand, adhere to, and reinforce EHS policies and directives.

Remain alert and responsive to equipment and product problems.

Anticipate and react productively to changes and handle other tasks as assigned.

Demonstrate willingness to perform multiple functions within a shift, as production requires.

Keep equipment stocked with appropriate material and return materials to the warehouse.

Qualifications/Requirements 6.1 Formal Qualifications and Experience Knowledge and Experience 2+ years forklift experience.

Computer and software knowledge.

Experience working in a warehouse / manufacturing environment.

Education and Certifications High school diploma or equivalent required.

6.2 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Behaviours Job Specific skills and abilities Ability to operate heavy moving machinery safely and efficiently.

Ability to sit and stand for up to 12 hours per shift.

Ability to twist, turn or bend to move material up to 50 lbs.

Ability to push, pull, and lift material up to 50 lbs.

Good computer skills / Microsoft Office programs.
