Transmission Engineering Intern

Develop, design, analyze and evaluate transmission facility additions/modifications by applying engineering theories, principles, and practices that contribute to safe, reliable, and cost-effective transmission line designs.

Provide detailed design for high voltage transmission line projects. This will include, but not limited to, building new lines, re-building and modifying existing facilities, fiber installations, and customer relocations.

Provide field support for construction activities related to transmission line projects.This will include, but not limited to, construction site visits and project meetings.

Interface with other departments or groups such as Project Management, Construction, Supply Chain, Permitting, Real Estate, Right of Way Administration, and Transmission O&M. Experience with AutoCAD is a plus

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program that is ABET accredited majoring in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

Must have a graduation date of Fall 2028 or 2029.

$The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position.
